Dear PODS Parents,
First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who joined us for our "Fallin Into Fun" Fall Festival last week. This event wouldn't have been a success without the incredible support from our dedicated volunteers, military commands, SR. and JR. Beta Club members, our amazing school staff, and of course, our wonderful River family. - Teacher Appreciation (Wednesday, October 25): Our PODS members have chosen the theme "You're Awesome to the Core" to show our appreciation for our dedicated teachers. We'll be hosting a DIY caramel apple bar, and if you'd like to help set up the lounge, please sign up here.
- Festive Friday (Friday, October 27): Join us for $1 Festive Friday this month! We'll be selling colorful necklaces (orange or purple) and glow-in-the-dark silicone bracelets for just $1 in the hall to students before class starts. Get two items for the price of one! These glow-in-the-dark bracelets are perfect for the upcoming nighttime festivities and are reusable. We greatly appreciate any help we can get to make Festive Friday a success. - Vocabulary Parade (Friday, October 27): The Vocabulary Parade is here! Visit the school at 9 am to witness the creative costumes our students have put together, each designed to match their chosen vocabulary words. It's not just a fun event for the kids; we might all learn a few new words too! - Lastly, our school cookbook is finally in the process of printing! We have seen the proofs and it looks BEAUTIFUL! Only 100 copies have been ordered, so if you want to secure a copy (or several) for your family, please make sure to grab an order form from the front office! You can also find a copy of the order form in this post for your convenience. The cookbooks will be here before Thanksgiving, just in time to test new recipes for the holidays!
