Weekly Event News Update - October 10-13
Hello everyone! We hope you had a fantastic break, and now it's time to jump back into the action with a week packed full of exciting events. Here's what's happening:
Pine Straw Pass Out - October 10-11
For those of you who registered for the Scarecrow Stroll at the Fallin Into Fun at Crooked River Event, mark your calendars for October 10 and 11. These are the dedicated days to pick up your pine straw. Volunteers will be stationed at the car rider and walker gates to assist you. Bus rider registrants, take note that a late drop-off time at 6 pm has been added due to the size of the pine straw bales. If these dates don't work for you, feel free to swing by during the week to retrieve your pine straw.
2. Chick-Fil-A Night - October 10
Don't forget, October 10 is Chick-Fil-A Night! Make dinner plans at Chick-Fil-A to help support our school. It's a delicious way to contribute to our community.
3. National School Lunch Week - October 10-13
From October 10 to 13, we celebrate National School Lunch Week. Our Cafeteria Staff has been hard at work creating a fun menu that will "Level Up with School Lunch." We've got two cool menus for you to enjoy and a special dress-up day on Wednesday, October 11. Wear your best video game-inspired shirt or outfit to help celebrate this fun week of school lunches!
4. The Vocab Parade - October 12
Join us on Thursday, October 12, at 9 am for The Vocab Parade! Parents are invited to come and witness our students in their creatively designed costumes, each embodying a chosen vocabulary word. Let's support the students and collectively expand our vocabulary together! Due to limited parking at the school, please park across the street at Heaven's Point Church. The parade will take place at the back of the school in the car rider line, so signing in is not necessary.
5. Volunteer Work Day - October 12
Thursday, October 12, is also a volunteer work day. This is when we come together to assist teachers and staff with various tasks in their classrooms, paperwork, cutting, assembling, and more. We'll be working on creating and crafting items for our upcoming Fallin Into Fun event next week. We could use any crafty hands that want to stay after the parade to help.
6. Pink Out Day - October 13
Friday, October 13, is Pink Out Day! Wear pink to show your support.
7. AR Donut Party - October 13
Finally, on Friday, October 13, we're having the AR Donut Party! Our students have been reading diligently to meet their goals over the past 9 weeks, and it's time to reward them with donuts and some fun games. Mrs. Markham has planned an exciting party, and PODS has the pleasure of volunteering to pass out donuts and supervise the students during the games. If you'd like to volunteer during your student's grade or for the entire day, please sign up using the link below.
